Robert Shuford is Principal of Shuford Financial Partners; he specializes in insurance and estate planning with a focus on life, disability, and long-term care insurance. Robert works with individuals and small business owners to analyze their protection needs and prepare strategies to meet their objectives today and in the future. Robert also specializes in implementing Non-Qualified Deferred Compensation (NQDC) plans. In addition, he also serves as an insurance resource for advisors and their clients.
Robert provides a comprehensive Protection Review for each of his clients, evaluating nine protection areas to help maximize protection while minimizing costs. He serves as a single source for all protection decisions, making sure all of these areas are coordinated and integrated. Robert attended Lovett School and graduated from University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts & Sciences in 1985 and began his insurance career in 1987. Robert is licensed with multiple insurance carriers for optimum client benefit. He is also a Registered Representative and Financial Advisor with American Portfolios. He has been the recipient of numerous awards, including the AXA Advisors Hall of Fame and Million Dollar Round Table. Robert completed Oglethorpe University Financial Planning degree in 2005. Robert has consistently proven himself to be dedicated and passionate in helping his clients with protection planning.
Robert lives in Atlanta with his wife, Margot. Their daughter, Anna, is currently attending Presbyterian College and is majoring in Christian Education. Robert and Margot also have a residence in Hailey, ID. Robert is an avid tennis, paddle tennis player and skier. He is active in his community, served on the Board of Trustees at Mount Vernon Presbyterian School for 6 years, co-chaired the very successful Capital Campaign at MVPS, former Chair of the Board of Trustees at Buckhead Christian Ministry, co-chaired the Annual Spring Gala for the Agape Community Center, and has volunteered for many other ministries. Margot and Robert received the 2017 Humanitarian Award from Agape Family and Youth Center. Robert is also a former Board Member of the Georgia Tennis Foundation and has served two 3 year terms on the Vestry at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church in Buckhead.
